President & CEO

For more than 25 years, Jason has had the pleasure of building strong relationships with many of today’s largest retailers, including Target, Best Buy, Menards, and Meijer. As CEO of D Landstrom Associates, he leads an agency that specializes in representing consumer product companies across Baby, Kitchen, Automotive, Hardware, Sporting Goods, Housewares, and Electronics.

Known for exceptional service, deep product knowledge, and a clear understanding of retailer needs, Jason takes pride in helping brands succeed at retail. Under his leadership, DLA has launched countless products and brands into major accounts. He and the team continue to bring energy and passion to every new launch.

VP of Sales – Consumables

As Vice President of Sales, Molly Downey brings over twelve years of Target-facing experience and a proven track record in building brands within complex retail environments. Her career began at top-tier CPG companies Kraft Foods Group, Kraft Heinz, and Mars Inc., where she held business analytics and sales roles supporting Target across multiple categories. Since transitioning into brand representation in 2018, Molly has held sales leadership roles focused on advancing brand and retailer partnerships—leveraging her deep understanding of Target’s systems, people, and processes to deliver strategic growth, best-in-class execution, and lasting brand success.

John Preiner

John Preiner

VP of Sales – Hardlines

John Preiner joined D Landstrom Associates in January 2025, bringing extensive sales leadership and a deep retail background. Prior to DLA, he served as General Manager for Aiper North America and Vice President of Sales for North America at LG Electronics, overseeing Home Entertainment sales to major retailers including Best Buy, Costco, Target, and BJ’s. From 2014 to 2023, John was Vice President of Sales for Summit Sales International and CITIES Market Studios, partnering with hundreds of companies selling into retail. Earlier in his career, he spent 15 years at Best Buy as a Merchant Leader across multiple departments, experience that continues to shape his hands-on, strategic approach today.

With more than 18 years of specialized experience selling into Menards, Michael Wherland brings a hands-on, analytical, and highly committed approach to vendor management and strategic sales. Over the course of his career, he’s become known for a strong work ethic, practical problem-solving, and clear, effective communication. Having worked across most Menards departments and built excellent relationships with his buyers, Michael focuses on driving results while developing long-term, trusted partnerships.

Dani Smith graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a degree in Consumer Science, focusing on retailing, and has built her career around a lifelong passion for the retail industry. She began at Best Buy, where she worked across emerging business categories before joining D Landstrom Associates in 2013. Over the years, Dani has become a trusted partner for brands launching at Target, blending account management, sales, and mentoring with a hands-on, detail-oriented approach. Known as both a strategic leader and the team’s “culture lead,” she brings energy, insight, and genuine passion for the brands she represents.

For the past 19 years, Marty Reynolds-Ohana has built his career in Account Management at D Landstrom Associates, supporting major retailers including Target, Best Buy, Menards, and several regional accounts. Throughout his time at DLA, he’s focused on cultivating strong vendor relationships, driving retail execution, and keeping communication seamless between manufacturers and buyers. With a reputation for organization, follow-through, and true partnership, Marty takes pride in delivering exceptional results and being a steady, trusted resource for both clients and retail teams.

Sara Commers graduated from Santa Clara University in 2023, where she was actively involved in the Retail Management Institute and developed a strong interest in the retail and CPG space. This passion led her to a career as an Account Manager supporting food and beverage brands at Target. Through this experience, she gained deep knowledge of Target’s systems and honed her ability to drive brand growth and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Now at DLA, Sara brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to client partnerships, fueled by a passion for long-term brand success.

Joining DLA in June 2025, Sydney Fischer has quickly established herself as a motivated professional eager to grow and contribute to the team’s success. A graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, she holds a degree in Marketing and a strong passion for the business world. Sydney began her career in the service industry before transitioning into sales support and account management. She is a collaborative problem-solver recognized for her communication skills and ability to adapt in fast-paced environments. Sydney brings unique value to DLA through her work across multiple retailers, including Best Buy, Target, and Menards.
