Best launches Same-Day Delivery Service called Deliv to stay competitive

Best Buy has launched a same day delivery service called Deliv to compete with Amazon and other retailers onboarding this new service.  This new service is still in pilot mode and launched Fall of 2015.  The Best Buy Deliv service launched in the following cities:

  • San Francisco
  • New York
  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Dallas
  • Houston
  • Las Vegas
  • Miami
  • Philadelphia
  • Seattle
  • Washington D.C.

How does the BestBuy.com Deliv service work?  Best Buy customers choose “Expedited Shipping” when checking out in the select cities and they receive their order by 9 p.m. that evening IF the purchase was placed prior to 3 p.m. that same day.

Best Buy Deliv orders are filled six days a week and does not presently offer the service on Sundays.

The Best Buy Deliv service is part of Best Buy’s continued efforts to improving the Omni-channel shopping experience.

On-demand delivery is a rapidly growing service offered by companies such as Uber, Lyft, Car2Go, Fleetzen, Buddytruk and now Best Buy Deliv.

Amazon has been building local DC’s to help support their same day service and launched their same-day delivery service called Amazon Flex.

Many of these same-day delivery services utilize independent drivers that are on-call similar to Uber or Lyft drivers.
